The Call for Presentations for the 2020 Common Europe Congress (CEC) is now open. Submissions will close 5 February 2020.

The CEC will be held this year at the IBM Systems Center, Montpellier, France between June 15th and 18th and brings together hundreds of Power System, IBM i, AIX and Linux experts, users, vendors and like-minded professionals under one roof to network, learn, and share best practices.

Please consider sharing your knowledge and expertise with your peers by offering a session at the Congress. To be considered, please submit your session below.

Final date for submitting presentations is 5 February 2020                                     

Topics to Submit

Although all topics will be considered, the Common Europe Education Committee is looking for topics in the following Courses of Study:

  • Application Development
  • Business Intelligence
  • Database Management
  • Client connectivity
  • Emerging Technology
  • IT Leadership and Management
  • High Availability or Disaster Recovery
  • Open Source (e.g. Node.js, PHP, Python, Ruby)
  • Personal development and soft skills
  • RPG
  • Security or Compliance
  • Storage (especially external)
  • System Management
  • Trends and Directions (New work experiences)
  • SAP HANA
  • AIX or Linux
  • Other (e.g. Domino on i, etc.)

Additionally, we are looking for pre-Congress Hands-on workshops, Deep-Dive and Open labs lasting 3 hours. Your session may be general knowledge, customer case studies, innovative approaches, or proven solutions.        

Things to consider when submitting a session

  • Sessions will be delivered in English or French
  • Sessions should be maximum 60 minutes long
  • Newer topics or content not previously offered is preferred
  • Congress registration is free on the day you present
  • Present 3 sessions or a 3-hour workshop / deep dive / open lab and the entire Congress registration is free
  • Speaker is responsible for own travel and lodging expenses unless prior agreement
