Common Europe Workshops are specialised, in-depth, educational seminars delivered online or in person.  These workshops offer a unique learning opportunity for those who want to supplement their education received from Common Europe and its solution provider community. Our workshops are delivered by industry experts, IBM developers, and like-minded peers and are limited in number of participants to maximise the learning experience.

Dr. Wolfgang Rother

          In this 4-day workshop, Dr. Rother will guide participants through the following topics:

Introduction to IBM i Administration
IBM i Security Fundamentals
IBM i Work Management
 

This workshop is limited to 16 participants and is FREE to Common Europe and affiliated user group members.(normal market value €1200)

As the number of places is limited, we would like to have a good spread of participants from different countries in Europe. Therefore, please complete the interest form on the link below. 
 
Priority is given to younger persons interested in learning to manage an IBM i environment. The target audience is people working with system administration or developers that would like to learn more about the IBM i system itself. 
 
Please note, the workshop is given during office hours and you must be fully available each day.

About the Teacher:

Dr. Wolfgang Rother, IBM, Senior Technical Specialist Power, Germany

At the beginning of his IBM career, Wolfgang Rother worked as a lecturer for IBM, training for several years. He then took on various roles in IBM Power sales. He is currently working as a technical sales specialist for the IBM Power Platform team in DACH and is particularly responsible for cloud offerings and business analytics solutions based on IBM Power systems. He is also involved in the IBM Academic Initiative at various universities and colleges to recruit young IT specialists for the IBM Power Systems area.
